Best RV Step Rugs for 18- to 23-Inch Steps

#1 · Best Overall

1. RVMATE RV Step Rugs 23 Inch

• Weight: 2.12 lb

Best for: Fast-release 23-inch set.

Why it ranks #1: This three-pack is 23 inches wide and uses snap fasteners for quick fitting and release; its polyester is described as weather-resistant and quick-drying.

Special snap fasteners distinguish RVMATE’s 23-inch three-pack, enabling quick fitting and removal without the spring hooks mentioned in its description. Each rug measures 22 inches long and 23 inches wide, while weather-resistant polyester is described as quick-drying and resistant to wear for regular RV step use.

The 22-by-23-inch rugs provide a stated footprint for buyers comparing them with their step treads, and the three-pack covers multiple stairs. Snap fasteners are presented as a way to fit and release the rugs quickly; the listing also says they will not rust in any weather condition and are less easily lost than spring hooks. Weather-resistant polyester that dries quickly can suit use exposed to changing conditions, though the listing does not provide a specific depth range.

Skip it if you need an explicit depth range for a narrower tread; BLACKHORSE-RACING HM3278 lists 8–10-inch step depth compatibility.

Pick this RVMATE set if quick-release snaps and 23-inch-wide rugs match your RV steps. Its stated weather-resistant, quick-drying polyester supports exposed use, but the product information does not specify a compatible step-depth range.

#2 · Best Adjustable Fit

2. Camco Premium Wrap Around Rug

• Weight: 1.5 lb
• Material: Blend
• Material Type: Blend

Best for: Adjustable manual-or-electric fit.

Why it ranks #2: Its stated 18-inch step fit and adjustable 8- to 10.5-inch depth suit measured treads; looped PVC dries quickly and the TPE backing helps hold it in place.

An adjustable 8-to-10.5-inch depth range makes the Camco wraparound rug useful for owners fitting 18-inch-wide steps of different depths. Compatibility with both manual and electric RV steps broadens its stated application, while looped PVC provides a cushioned, quick-drying surface intended to cut down on dirt tracked indoors.

The rug wraps around the existing step, with springs hooking into grommets for installation; that attachment workflow suits buyers who want a fitted cover rather than a loose mat. Its 18-inch width and adjustable depth range of 8 to 10.5 inches provide specific fit boundaries for manual or electric steps. Looped PVC dries quickly and is easy to clean with mild soap and water, while the TPE backing helps keep the rug in place.

Skip it if you need rugs for several steps in one pack; RVMATE RMSR23-N includes three snap-fastened covers.

3. BLACKHORSE-RACING 22-Inch Rugs

• Weight: 1.1 kg
• Material: Stainless Steel
• Material Type: Stainless Steel

Best for: 22-inch curved-step coverage.

Why it ranks #3: The three-pack fits 22-inch-wide steps, includes paired grommets and springs for different depths, and is specified for 8- to 10-inch treads and curved ladders.

Four paired grommet-and-spring sets let this BLACKHORSE-RACING three-pack accommodate varying depths and curved foot ladders. The 22-inch-wide rugs are specified for steps 8 to 10 inches deep, giving owners a useful fit boundary while the stair covers scrape dirt from footwear and help reduce slipping on worn steps.

Each rug is 20 inches long and 22 inches wide, with four sets of paired grommets and springs to support installation across varying step depths. The stated 8-to-10-inch depth range and curved-ladder compatibility make it relevant to RVs whose steps are not all straight. The covers are intended to scrape dirt from shoes before it reaches the interior and reduce slipping on worn steps. Metal spring hardware should be secured before use, according to the supplied safety guidance.

Skip it if you want quick-release snaps instead of spring hooks; RVMATE RMSR22-N uses snap fasteners for fitting and release.

Choose this set for 22-inch-wide steps, including curved foot ladders, when spring-hook adjustment across the stated depth range is useful. Secure the grommets and springs before walking on the covers, as the safety guidance advises.

#4 · Lifetime Warranty

4. LATCH.IT 23-Inch Step Covers

• Weight: 3 kg
• Material: Polyester
• Material Type: Polyester

Best for: Straight-step polyester set.

Why it ranks #4: This three-pack is specified for straight 23-inch steps and includes tension springs; the listing states a lifetime warranty and polyester construction.

A double-layered polyester back distinguishes this LATCH.IT three-pack, giving buyers a layered backing beneath its polyester rugs. The 23-by-11-inch dimensions define the coverage area, while the straight-step designation makes it a more specific choice for RV owners shopping for broad, straight treads rather than a curved-ladder fit.

The 23-inch length and 11-inch width give this set a larger stated rug footprint than narrower step covers, helping cover a substantial straight tread. Polyester is specified for both the rug material and double-layered backing, so buyers can assess the construction without relying on unstated attachment or cleaning claims. The listing says the rugs arrive folded and tightly packed, with about 24 hours allowed for them to regain their shape; plan that settling time before use.

Skip it if you need covers ready immediately after unpacking; Camco Premium Wrap Around RV Step Rug can be installed around one step.

This LATCH.IT set suits owners with straight steps who want three polyester covers with a stated 23-by-11-inch footprint. Allow time for the folded rugs to return to shape, and consider the straight-step designation when checking your setup.

#5 · Quick-Release Fasteners

5. RVMATE RV Step Rugs 22 Inch

• Weight: 2.46 lb

Best for: Snap-fastened 22-inch set.

Why it ranks #5: The three-pack measures 22 inches wide and uses snap fasteners for fitting and removal; its polyester material is described as weather-resistant and quick-drying.

Snap fasteners make RVMATE’s 22-inch three-pack quick to fit and release, while the listing says they will not rust in any weather condition and are less easily lost than spring hooks. Each polyester rug measures 20 inches long and 22 inches wide, with weather resistance and quick drying also specified.

The three rugs provide coverage for multiple steps, and their 20-by-22-inch dimensions give owners a concrete footprint to compare with their treads. Snap fasteners support quick installation and removal, useful when covers need to come off, while the listing describes the fasteners as resistant to rust across weather conditions. Weather-resistant polyester is also described as quick-drying and not easy to wear. No step-depth range is provided, so depth matching remains an open consideration.

Skip it if you need a specified 8–10-inch depth fit; BLACKHORSE-RACING HM3279 gives that range for its 22-inch covers.

This RVMATE set fits buyers seeking three 22-inch-wide rugs with quick-release snaps and weather-resistant polyester. Compare the stated footprint with your treads, and note that the supplied facts do not identify a compatible depth range.

6. BLACKHORSE-RACING 18-Inch Rugs

• Material: Polyester
• Material Type: Polyester

Best for: Curved-ladder spring-hook set.

Why it ranks #6: This three-pack fits 18-inch-wide steps, accommodates 8- to 10-inch depths, and includes two pairs of grommets and springs for varying tread depths.

Paired grommets and spring hooks supplied in two sets let this BLACKHORSE-RACING three-pack adjust to varying step depths, including curved foot ladders. Its 18-inch width and stated 8-to-10-inch depth range give buyers concrete dimensions for assessing fit while the rug scrapes dirt from shoes before it enters the RV.

Each rug measures 17.9 inches long and 18 inches wide, and the paired grommet-and-spring sets support installation on steps 8 to 10 inches deep. That combination gives owners a defined size range and a way to accommodate curved foot ladders. The polyester rugs are intended to remove dirt from footwear and help reduce slipping on worn steps. Because the attachment includes metal springs and grommets, the listing cautions users to secure them and keep the hardware away from children.

Skip it if you prefer a wraparound rug with a stated adjustable depth range; Camco Premium Wrap Around RV Step Rug fits 8–10.5-inch depths.

#7

7. LATCH.IT 18-Inch Step Covers

• Weight: 2.03 lb

Best for: Three-piece 18-inch option.

Why it ranks #7: The three-pack is explicitly listed for 18-inch-wide camper steps, making it a straightforward size-specific option, although the supplied details omit material and attachment specifications.

An 18-inch-wide designation makes this LATCH.IT three-pack a direct option for shoppers matching covers to narrower camper steps. The listing identifies three gray RV step covers and supplies their packed dimensions and weight, but offers fewer material, attachment, or fit details than some competing product descriptions.

The title specifies three covers for 18-inch-wide steps, which helps narrow the intended application when comparing tread widths. The package measures 9.69 by 9.09 by 4.76 inches and weighs 2.03 pounds, useful details for considering storage and handling before installation. The supplied listing does not describe rug material, fastener style, or a compatible step-depth range, so those construction and depth considerations cannot be resolved from the provided product facts.

Skip it if you need a stated adjustable depth and material; Camco Premium Wrap Around RV Step Rug lists both.

Consider this LATCH.IT pack if three covers identified for 18-inch steps match your main requirement. Buyers who need detailed material, attachment, or depth information should compare those factors against the limited specifications provided here.

#8

8. Flamesio RV Step Covers

• Weight: 13.4 oz

Best for: Quick-fit three-step set.

Why it ranks #8: The three-pack measures 24 by 7.5 inches and is described as quick to install with a non-slip surface, but the listed dimensions may not suit every tread.

A quick-install approach sets this three-pack apart, giving RV owners a way to cover stair treads without the traditional spring-hook system described in the listing. Each rug measures 24 by 7.5 inches, and the non-slip surface helps provide traction while catching dirt, sand, and rocks before they reach the interior.

The 24-inch length and 7.5-inch width provide a defined tread area, so compare those measurements with your step surfaces before installing. The listing emphasizes quick installation instead of a traditional spring-hook system, which avoids the complicated hooking process and the noise and lost hooks associated with that system. A non-slip surface supports steadier footing, while the dirt-catching purpose helps limit sand and rocks tracked indoors. The three-pack supplies covers for multiple steps.

Skip it if you need broad coverage across a wide tread; LATCH.IT RV Step Covers 23-inch Wide Camper Step Covers offer wider rugs.

Choose this Flamesio set if quick installation and a narrow 24-by-7.5-inch tread cover suit your RV steps. Its non-slip surface and dirt-catching purpose fit travelers seeking a simple way to limit debris indoors, but measure for the narrow width.

#9

9. LATCH.IT 23-Inch Four-Pack

• Weight: 3.78 lb

Best for: Four-cover 23-inch pack.

Why it ranks #9: This four-pack is listed as 23-inch-wide camper step covers, offering multiple rugs for a matching set, but the supplied specifications provide little fit or attachment detail.

Four covers in a 23-inch-wide LATCH.IT pack give buyers an extra rug compared with the brand’s listed three-cover options. The title identifies these as black camper step covers, and the package dimensions and weight help with storage planning, though the supplied product facts do not explain attachment or material.

The four-pack count is the clearest practical distinction: it provides covers for more steps from one listed set. The title specifies 23-inch-wide camper step covers in black, giving buyers width and color details to compare with their RV. Package dimensions of 12.87 by 11.18 by 6.73 inches and a 3.78-pound weight can inform storage and handling. The provided specifications do not state step depth, rug material, or how the covers attach.

Skip it if you need stated fasteners and depth adjustment for curved steps; BLACKHORSE-RACING HM3279 specifies spring-hook sets and 8–10-inch depth.

Choose this LATCH.IT pack when four black covers and a 23-inch width suit the steps you need to cover. Its set count and package details are clear, but check whether its unspecified attachment and depth details meet your installation needs.

#10

10. NEWFOM RV Step Rug

• Material: Polyester
• Material Type: Polyester

Best for: Pet-conscious single-step cover.

Why it ranks #10: The single rug is described as fitting 18- to 23-inch-wide steps up to 8- to 11-inch deep, but its stated 18-inch width and 18.2-inch height make fit less clear.

A cover intended to close the hole in a stair slab gives the NEWFOM rug a pet-safety emphasis, helping keep paws from being injured in the opening. The listing also describes a soft, plush felt surface with traction, combining step coverage with a gentler surface for pets wary of RV stairs.

This single gray cover is listed as 18 inches wide, with fit guidance covering 18-to-23-inch-wide rugs and straight steps up to 8-to-11 inches deep. The stated dimensions and broad fit guidance should be checked against the actual tread before purchase, since the product is supplied as one piece. Polyester construction is described as protecting against UV exposure and fading, while the carpet-felt surface adds softness and traction for pets using the stairs.

Skip it if you need a three-rug set in one purchase; BLACKHORSE-RACING HM3278 covers three 18-inch-wide steps.

Choose NEWFOM when pet paw protection and a soft felt surface matter on an individual step. Its stated width and depth guidance address several straight-step sizes, but this is a single rug rather than a multi-step set.
